Feline Laser Surgery & Veterinary Surgery for Cats in Scottsdale, Tempe & Phoenix AZ

Veterinary Services

Scottsdale Cat Clinic provides state-of-the-art technology combined with highly experienced veterinarians to provide the best possible surgical care in the greater Phoenix area.

State-of-the-Art Veterinary Technology

  • Carbon dioxide laser —All of our surgeries are completed using our carbon dioxide laser in order to provide fast recovery and to keep the cat as comfortable as possible. The laser makes very precise incisions without applying pressure. This allows the cut to be made with minimal damage to surrounding tissues and results in less swelling and faster recovery times. The laser also seals the tissue as it cuts so there is less bleeding and less chance of infection.
  • Monitoring technology—Throughout procedures, our surgical suite is equipped to provide careful monitoring of all vital statistics, including:
    • Heart rate
    • Respiration
    • Blood pressure
    • Carbon dioxide levels
    • Temperature
    • Oxygen saturation
  • Anesthesia —We use only the highest quality anesthesia, which allows the cat to safely remain sedated and to awaken from sedation quickly. During the procedure, each cat is assigned a technician who continually monitors the anesthesia and will remain with the cat until he or she is completely awake.
  • Laser therapy —Following surgery, all non-cancerous conditions are treated with laser therapy, which stimulates cells to grow in the treated area, decreases pain and swelling, and speeds healing.

Pet Pain Management

Stress plays a significant role in overall health not only in people but also in pets. Keeping a pet comfortable allows him or her to relax, get adequate rest, regain appetite, and recover quicker.

Scottsdale Cat Clinic implements a pain management plan to pre-empt pain and keep it from affecting the cat whenever possible. Prior to surgery, cats are given pain medications, and during procedures, they are monitored and treated for any signs of discomfort. We use laser therapy following surgery to reduce pain and speed healing, and we often send home pain medications for ongoing management.
